Frequently Asked Questions on Delivery

How does Bachem ship peptides?

Orders will be shipped by mail or by air mail, unless instructed otherwise at the time of the order. Other services are e.g. EMS (datapost), Federal Express, UPS, Emery Door-to-Door, air freight (IATA).


US & Canada: Orders are shipped standard overnight or second-day via FedEx. UPS and Freight Forwarder services are available upon request at the time of order.

Most catalog and custom products are shipped at ambient temperature. The recommend long-term storage temperature is indicated on the product label.

Is dry ice required for the shipment of peptides?

Dry ice is not required for the shipment of peptides. With few exceptions, the lyophilizates packed in sealed vials are sufficiently stable to tolerate 1-2 days at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, the product should be stored at the recommended storage temperature.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery will take 1-2 working days, as most of our products usually are available from stock.

What information accompanies the shipment of the product I've ordered?

Included with your shipment are:
- Commercial invoice if applicable.
- Packing list.
Analytical Datasheets (Certificates of Analysis) of the products, which can be downloaded from our homepage after having received the order, are included only on request.
All vials contain labels listing the designation and amount of product, storage temperature, safety information, and lot number.

Why is a VAT# necessary for an inter community shipment ?

Our EU customers require a VAT number for the delivered products for filing the INTRASTAT declaration form with the competent authorities.
