Radioimmunoassay Kits for Peptides / Proteins

Host: Rabbit or Guinea Pig

The purpose of this kit is to measure a specific peptide and its related peptides via a competitive radioimmunoassay. It is intended for in vitro protocols only. The antiserum used for this assay was raised against a synthetic form of the peptide. This kit contains reagents for 125 RIA test tubes.

Please note that this product contains a component that is radioactive and therefore, requires special handling procedure and an appropriate license.

We STRONGLY recommend sample preparation and extraction of peptides before using the RIA kits for best results.

Expiration date of the kit is 6 weeks after preparation which is the expiration date of the tracer (125I-peptide). The other components such as RIA buffer, goat anti-rabbit IgG, normal rabbit serum, antibody, and standard are stable for 6 months from the day of receipt when stored at 2-8°C. Once rehydrated, there is no guarantee on any of these components. Two weeks is the expected cutoff point for viability after rehydration.

Cross-reactivity and sensitivity data published on this website and in our catalogs are for general information only. They may or may not represent our current lot of antibodies or kits. For specific cross-reactivity and sensitivity data for our current lot, please contact your nearest Bachem sales office.
