Active substance
NG-Monomethyl-L-arginine (L-NMMA) inhibits the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO) in a dose-dependent and enantiospecific fashion. Intravenous or intraarterial injections produce a powerful and prolonged vasoconstrictor effect, which can be reversed by L-arginine. |
