Paul Long, responsible for the Upstream portion of Production at Bachem Vista, brings extensive experience in growing pharmaceutical facilities. He was motivated to join Bachem by the company’s rapid expansion and the opportunity to contribute to the construction and startup of new facilities and equipment. He emphasizes that, ultimately, all these efforts come together to meet the needs of patients.

Starting as a chemical process engineer designing and commissioning pharmaceutical facilities, Paul transitioned into leadership roles within Engineering and Operations. He focuses on improving production efficiency, mentoring team members, and deploying new operational systems. He shares that he is motivated by seeing others grow and take satisfaction in their daily accomplishments. Paul is excited about Bachem’s commitment to operational excellence.

We are growing so quickly that continuous improvement is essential. Introducing efficiency tools at this stage will make us more agile, drive faster problem-solving, and even reduce unnecessary meetings. His efforts contribute to streamlining production and enhancing productivity across teams.

One of Paul’s most fulfilling achievements at Bachem is his work on shop floor controls in partnership with BBU.
