Bachem reports record results on 2006 sales and profit

The Bachem Group (SWX: BANB) today announced results for the business year 2006. The company achieved a new sales record in 2006 with CHF 171.8 million. Net sales growth was 12.0% in local currencies and 11.8% in CHF compared with 2005. Operating income grew overproportionately by 18.2% to CHF 55.8 million and also net income showed a correspondingly positive development, increasing 18.5% to CHF 46.6 million. Thus, EBIT-margin increased from 30.7% to 32.5% and net income margin from 25.6% to 27.2%.
