Briefly, what do you do at Bachem?

In my position I am responsible for various material groups including: auxiliaries, IT, services, PPE (personal protective equipment) and supplies. Our department deals with market research, procurement and provision of goods. It is important that we are involved in projects at an early stage. This is the only way we can guarantee a smooth process and ensure that the goods arrive at the right place at the right time.

What is your academic background?

After my university entrance qualification, I did a certificate of purchasing specialist.

What is your business motto?

My motto is a citation from Albert Einstein “Personalities are not formed by fine speeches, but by work and one’s own performance”.

What do you like most about your job?

Our department is very multifaceted, every day brings different challenges and opportunities. It gives me a pleasure to help others, be it our own employees or suppliers.

Would you like to communicate any key message to the reader?

I think that people should be open to new things, to be hungry for new knowledge and always think out of the box.

What is your preferred peptide?

My favorite peptide is the brain natriuretic peptide (BNP). It’s a hormone that is synthetized in the heart cell, and it is a marker for heart failure.
